location

fenit harbour

Fenit village is a small Irish village, with a charm of its’ own. The pace is slower here, as locals and visitors alike take time to enjoy the magnificent natural surroundings – walk the unspoiled blue flag beaches, or swim from the bathing area, follow the St. Brendan historic trail, or just sit back, relax and soak up the atmosphere and stunning scenery over a coffee or a pint.

Wild Atlantic Sea Tours is based in the village of Fenit which is on the Wild Atlantic Way. The seaport dates back to 1887 but maritime connections go back to early Christian times. For this is the birthplace of St. Brendan ‘The Voyager’, the Patron Saint of Sailors, Fisherman and Travellers. Wild Atlantic Sea Tours is truly unique and different as we offer our customers and friends an experience that they will never forget, Giving people a different perspective seeing our amazing scenery from the sea. Our jet Kayaks cover lots of ground effortlessly giving our customer a truly relaxing and exhilarating experience. Our trips consist of one and two hour guided tours, we also do angling trips, these tend to be three and four hour sessions.

This is a very sheltered and shallow part of Tralee Bay. This is a route which has been used for hundreds of years by small ships carrying cargo to Tralee and where emigrants left from Ireland to travel to North America. Our other one Hour Tour brings you out of the Bay past Fenit pier and to Fenit Lighthouse which stands on Little Samphire Rock . The Water deepens and you start to get a look of a more rockier coast line. Price for one Hour is 35 euros

Our two hour tours consist of taking a fantastic Costal Drive on our Jet propelled kayaks around the unique and wonderful Coastline of Tralee Bay and further, weather permitting . The two hour tour gives a real feel for our amazing Bay and surrounding area. You reach places not accessible by foot, such as the beautiful Fenit Island Castle which also looks over Barrow where the beach scenes from the famous academy award movie Ryans Daughter was filmed.
